I was responsible for crafting written content across the site, ensuring it aligned with the brand’s tone of voice while also driving engagement and conversions. This role required a strong understanding of SEO, as every page had to be optimised to rank well and attract relevant traffic. I worked with tools like Yoast and SemRush to ensure that our copy met SEO guidelines, focusing on keywords, meta descriptions, and ensuring proper use of H1 and H2 headers to structure the content effectively.
In addition to adhering to SEO best practices, I had to keep a close eye on word counts to maintain consistency across the site and ensure optimal user experience. The work was fast-paced, with frequent updates to the homepage depending on factors like weather, trends, or seasonal promotions. These frequent changes meant quick turnarounds, but this also provided an exciting opportunity to stay on top of industry trends and create copy that was always relevant.
